So, hopefully you have been following the Student Union on Twitter @JCUStudentUnion and anxiously await the next edition of the Student YOUnion Newsletter every other Thursday during the semester. And now, you have found my blog! As your Vice President for Communication, I will use this blog to keep you updated and informed. From time to time other members of the Executive Board will be guest bloggers—so be sure to check in with us often.
Over the summer, the Executive Board members are working to formulate our goals and layout plans for the semester. The University Heights mayoral election will be very important for our community as we work to improve relations with the city. November will also bring the Student Union elections for the 2010 term for the Executive Board as well as the Senate. I encourage you to truly consider running for a position…new perspectives and ideas are necessary in order to keep the spirit of our community alive and flourishing.
