It’s hard to believe classes start on Monday! Hopefully, you enjoyed a relaxing summer and are ready to get back into your studies and involvement this semester.
My goal for these next few months is to encourage each and every member of our campus community to get involved with the Student Union. Each and every one of the JCU undergraduates is a member of this organization and I want to encourage active membership.
This membership will be different for everyone. Maybe you will commit to attending one or two Senate meetings a month on Tuesdays at 5 pm in the LSC Conference Room or maybe you will respond to an All-Stu posting about an available committee position.
Our October-November SU Election season is very important as well. Please consider running for a Class Senate seat or an Executive Board position.
At the very least, I hope that each of you takes the time to read the Student YOUnion Newsletter every other Thursday, follow us on Twitter @ JCUStudentUnion, and check this blog for my weekly posting.
